Complete PC Backup and Restore

XP Pro included a system backup in the Pro version(s) but not Home.
However, since the backup program was stand alone, you could copy the
backup program to a Home system and be good to go.

Can this be done in Vista? I rummaging the web, but haven't found
anything yet.

I generally use Seagate diskwizard or the Western Digital supplied free version
of Acronis for my computers, depending on the brand of the internal computer
drive or the external backup drive I will be using.

Thanks, Bob, but I need something that works for everything.

The computer will be given away, and I have no idea if or even when
there may be an external backup drive attached.

It needs to be a program fit for the computer newbie/rookie. Looked at
EaseUS Todo Backup Free, but I think it has a bug in the total overall
plan. I need to do some checking and testing tonight.

Also looked at Macrium Reflect Free, it's too complicated for a rookie.

If you've got any ideas/thoughts for a simple and free option, I'd love
to hear about it.
