My apologies to everyone who sees this post, but did not see the
original thread I'll be referring to. I've forgotten which newsgroup(s)
the thread was posted to. Blame it on age! LOL

I've forgotten the subject of the original thread, but a subthread
developed discussing email clients and whether any office suites besides
MS Office included an email client.

To which I replied there was, I'd forgotten the name, but I'd post it if
I came across it again.

The office suite is Softmaker Office Professional.

I know nothing about the email client in this suite.

I've nothing to add about Softmaker OP, though just for clarity sake -
not all MSFT Office Suites include an email client (i.e. Outlook).

That was mentioned in the original subthread, but the statement made was
no office suite other than MS included a client. Which, as a guess, is
probably 98% plus true.

I think there was one more I found, but wouldn't swear to that in court!

I don't know about the current X7 version, but my version of Word
Perfect Office Suite came with Mozilla's Thunderbird on the disk. So
you could say that Word Perfect came with an email client. Even if the
current version of Word Perfect does not come with Thunderbird on the
disk, Thunderbird and its addons are free programs.

That aside if you are looking for an email program with an event-task
scheduler that works in tandem with you word processing program, you may
wish to look at Thunderbird with Lightning.

With the lightning addon, you can schedule events and create task. When
you create these items you can invited people to attend these events or
task. I have used the invite process to invite people who use Outlook
to events I created in Lightning.

While not as polished as Outlook, Lightning can track the progress of
you task as you complete it.

Thunderbird also is capable of reading and sending to the various
newsgroups. There are a couple of social media function also but since
I am not on social media I don't have any idea of how well they perform.

My wife and I use Thunderbird with Lightning to provide all of our
email, newsgroups, events, and task. It helps to keep our live on
schedule.

Interesting about the WP disk.

Personally, I've had enough of Thunderbird. Too many problems that go
unaddressed/fixed. Only laziness and shortness of time has kept me from
setting up Outlook on this Mac.

WordPerfect can e-mail documents. It uses your default client.
